Christmas Eve 28w5d
Your daddy and I were just talking about how much fun this day will be for you soon. We can't wait to share Christmas with you!
Right now we are enjoying taking birthing classes, feeling you move, setting up your room, and preparing for you :)
You are getting so big now and will keep growing quickly until you are born. We love you so much little Lilah!

25 weeks, almost 26...
Saturday, November 21, 2009
24 weeks today (she is measuring almost 25)
Pregnancy thus far has been a breeze! Anything that bothers me is so insignificant that I barely remember it or register it as anything different from something bothering me when i am not pregnant! I get winded when climbing stairs, sleeping is getting MUCH trickier (hip pain and you sit on my bladder), very HUNGRY, but really nothing HUGE those things are so little!
I cannot WAIT to get your bedroom together, daddy and I are so busy getting everything picked out and ready so it is perfect for you. :)
We are also opening a home childcare so we are VERY busily trying to get that together so I don't have much to do when the you come and I can open after about a month and a half bonding time with you :)
Feeling good! I can't believe you will be here in 3 and a half months!! Love you so much already...our beautiful little girl! :)

you are beautiful!

so yesterday October 19th, 2009, we got to see your beautiful face ! You are a sweet little girl we were told and have such great pictures of you! You posed with your hand under your chin, such a sassy little girl already! We love you so much and can't wait to meet you! Also we went in thinking you were 19 weeks ad 2 days, but they said you were measuring 20 weeks and 1 days! What a beautiful healthy little girl! I am so glad you are growing and that I can protect you while you grow. :)

dreaming and in love....
I keep dreaming about you, or the idea of you (whichever gender you are). I am dreaming about this sweet baby (this time you were a boy) who is so easy going and happy. You sleep through the night, beastfeed so beautifully, we have such a wonderful bond, and I just love you so much... but then when the alarm goes off I find myself holding on so tightly to the sleep that brings us close together...
man I love you so much already- it's insane!!

Almost to Tri2!
11 weeks 3 days....
You are almost at the end of your first trimester and while changes continue to occur quickly in your baby, they are happening at a slower rate in you. Your uterus has been growing with the fetus inside of it and is now almost big enough to fill your pelvis. Your uterus may be able to be felt in your lower abdomen, above the middle of your pubic bone. You are not able to feel the baby moving inside of you at this time. Some women think that they have felt their baby moving now, but it is either gas or a wrongly dated pregnancy. You might also be noticing changes in your hair, fingernails, or skin around this time. Some women notice an increase in hair growth and nail growth during pregnancy and others lose small amounts of hair. You are burning up calories at a faster rate than you did before you became pregnant! The amount of blood being pumped around your body will increase and you might feel warmer than usual.
This is the last week of the embryonic period. From now on, your baby will be called a fetus. Your baby's fingernails appear this week! External genitalia are beginning to show distinguishing features and the development of male or female will be complete in three weeks. The placenta's blood vessels increase to provide your baby with the nutrients and oxygen he needs for continued growth. Your baby's ears are gradually moving from the neck towards the sides of his head. Inside of your baby's abdomen, the intestines are developing. Because the intestines are so large, some of them project into the umbilical cord and they will return to the abdomen within the next week or two.
At the size of a plumb, your baby is now able to swallow. The urinary system functions. The baby swallows and urinates the amniotic fluid and the fluid is continually replaced. The baby is kicking but the mother cannot feel it yet. All vital organs are formed and, for the most part, function normally. From now on, they will grow in size and efficiency.
As a preparation for breastfeeding, your baby now has learned to swallow. Babies swallow amniotic fluid in the uterus.

N-A-U-S-E-A!!!
I think I am 9 weeks and I want to start off by saying I am so grateful that I am not throwing up (although I have been close many times, you know the feeling that you need to stop and breathe in and out slowly and swallow?)
BUT the NAUSEA is killer! going grocery shopping makes me feel icky, eating food is a chore, and all throughout the day I just feel like I got off the Ocean Motion ride!
first ultra sound tomorrow!!

ode to being pregnant....
WELL....I started out mellow and now it seems it is all (minus throwing up---know on wood) hitting me at once! I drive and visit kids with special needs in their homes and provide therapies and having to pee 40958349583 times a day is a pain in the neck because finding a CLEAN place to pee while staying on schedule is NOT easy. Also I have had NO appetite lately and I was ALWAYS hungry before...now i wake up nauseous and don't want breakfast (but force it down anyway for the baby), take my prenatal vitamin, then usually it is fine on my tummy but not today! didn't want lunch and I ALWAYS want lunch!
To top it off i got hit with laryngitis and my throat is SOOOO dry and no matter how much i drink i sound like i chain smoker (raspy) and have dry coughs and can't swallow (just squeaks) AWESOME! Also the stupid swallow reflex kept me up all night because my body THOUGHT i needed to swallow but the dryness said NOpE! and therefore I watched ALL the hours of the clock go by! I am crampy (TRYING SO hard to drink water and stay hydrated, but i pee so darn much i dont see how that is possible!) MY breasts are still tender and i am EXHAUSTED from lask of sleep from last night....LoL so yeah kinda feel like crap lol! OH and we close on our new house in 3 days and move this weekend! LoL
I'm gonna go take a nap!
officially sick!

EVERY 5 seconds!!!
super weird waves of crampiness....
ok these cramps are weird...they only come after exercise or a lot of movement (running jumping) or after I pee? Just crampy, a wave of them like 10 minutes or so and then GONE!
Is that common or just super weird ?
The world of HcG---ANSWERS!
WHAT TESTS ARE BEST? What are the levels of HcG in each specific test? How much HcG do we produce and at how many dpo? I went searching for answers....hopefully these help us all!!

Pregnancy Tests and hCG Values
The pregnancy tests on the market today range widely in their sensitivity in picking up the pregnancy hormone, hCG. In the chart below, the lower the number in the "hCG Detected" column, the earlier you can use the pregnancy tests. As a general rule, hCG levels, if you are pregnant, are between 5 - 50 mIU a week before your period is due. The hCG levels in your system should double every two to three days.
Please remember that every woman is different and the time it takes for the fertilized egg to implant in your uterus wall can vary. A common misconception is that implantion occurs 7 days after conception, but the research findings showed that first appearance of HCG (implantation) occurred 6-12 days after ovulation, with 84% of the pregnancies implanting on days 8-10 after ovulation. If you don't get a positive pregnancy test, it doesn't necessarily mean that you are not pregnant. It could be that you ovulated later than you thought (meaning that conception and subsequent hCG production didn't happen as when you expected) or that, for you, implantation took longer than the average. Your period arriving is a sign that you are not pregnant this cycle, as is a negative blood test from your doctor.
Is a super sensitive pregnancy test the best to use?
For most women, the resounding answer would be YES! It allows you to know earlier if your attempts to conceive were sucessful and get medical care as soon as possible. There *is* a down side to extra sensitive pregnancy tests though. 25% of all pregnancies unfortunately end in miscarriage and many of these being very early pregnancies. If you use a very sensitive pregnancy test, where you test before the day your period is due, you could catch an early pregnancy but end up going on to have your period anyway due to a very early miscarriage. Some women will find it very hard to deal with this sort of emotional rollercoaster.

| 10 DPO: | 10 - 50 mIU/ml HcG |
| 13 DPO: | 20 - 100 mIU/ml HcG |
| 16 DPO: | 40 - 200 mIU/ml HcG |
| 19 DPO: | 80 - 400 mIU/ml HcG |
| 22 DPO: | 160 - 800 mIU/ml HcG |

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I hope this helps you all as much as it helped me....I used the First Response Rapid Results (bought it by accident) and got a BFN due to higher level detections of HcG, so I went out and got EPT and you can test 4 days before missed period and it detects levels of 25mIU which I should have within the next few days if I don't already. It depends upon when ovulation occurred and when you actually conceived! It is all starting to make sense!
I am 11 days past when we tried and according to monitoring my cm about maybe 10dpo? So I should be between 10-50 mIU? Going to try EPT tomorrow!!

Is it all in my head?!
there is no way i am getting these symptoms this early! Just getting crampy, nauseous, and having to pee a lot--- gonna get my period probably---I knew this wasn't going to be easy. When you want something so badly it is IMPOSSIBLE not to stress about it!
I am SOOOO tired lately, unexplained tired---i am wondering why? Could it be? I wake up in the AM after a long and pretty good night sleep exhausted and when I get home from a full day of work and much more tired that I usually am and just want to take a nap!
I am super crampy though :( It makes me nervous that this is all in my head. My hubby today, it was so sweet, wanted to know when we could test and said he is really excited! I want to know so bad!
period due June 22-25 (30-34 day cycles), 7dpo
2WW
sitting at the 2WW misery.... I am not charting or tracking (I did that, didn't show peak?) and am hoping that just doing the natural method of reading my body CM will work. My cycles are b/w 30-34 days on average (last period 5/23) and we tried on the 10th... according to EWCM, might have O'd on the 11th? or 12th? as the CM was dry? Sorry about the TMI, but this is our first month trying and I don't know much about timing-we shall see how it goes!!
maybe 5-6dpo and been feeling super nauseous lately, very tired, sensitive to smells, head aches, slightly cramping---wayyyyy to early to feeling anything, so probably all psychological!
I can't stand waiting!
Pretending...
So, here I sit, without child in my life or in my belly... and I pretend...
I live vicariously through all of you. I dream of a child, being pregnant, or simply just nursing my baby to sleep at night.
I submit comments and advice about things I have yet to experience, going to work each day simply to hear "you don't know what its like you don't have any children"
I got my promise for July and I can only sit here and dream, waiting, and wishing that our little one will make their debut quickly into our lives with zest and as little futility as possible.
Alas here I sit here, making secret baby registry, reading up on everything -cloth diapering - breast feeding - natural childbirth, naming my unborn child, standing in the mirror puffing out my stomach, closing my eyes, and wishing... with a tear in my eye I can only hope........someday.....
so check out the names of a child I hope to have someday, a child to bless my life with their every need, desire, cry, smiles, and laugh...
